Friday 18 - 30 Group

Friday 18 - 30 Group

2nd and 4th week of each month from 12th September from: 7.00pm to:8.30pm

This is a friendly and informal group, led by young people for young people, meeting on the second and fourth Friday of each month from 7pm- 8:30pm.

This bi-weekly group is a space for open conversations about how Buddhist practice fits into our everyday lives for anyone aged 18-30.

Navigating the spiritual path in this complex world can feel overwhelming and sometimes impossible, especially for young people who face challenges unique to our generation.

When we are able to share our experiences with others, we are creating the opportunity for others to learn from us and us to learn from them. These open conversations create a shared humanity, whereby we often find that we are not alone in our experiences, enabling us to connect with ourselves, others and our Buddhist practice more deeply.

We will begin each meeting with a short guided meditation.

In addition to our weekly Sangha nights each Wednesday, this is a group specifically focused on cultivating connection and community between young people who are interested in understanding and practicing Buddhism.

Open to all between 18 and 30 - You don’t need to be a Buddhist or intend to be one

This is a drop-in class. No need to book - just turn up when you can.

There is no charge but please make a small donation for each session if you can. No one is paid at York Buddhist Centre. Our only income comes from those who use the centre.
