Georgia Freshney is an experienced and qualified yoga teacher who has trained in various disciplines in Thailand.
She has trained in holistic yoga and has experience teaching Hatha, Yin and Restorative yoga. as well as mantra meditation and tai chi. Her approach is gentle and generally less asana focused compared to a lot of Western classes as she likes to create a balance of asana, pranayama and mindfulness within classes.
A holistic yoga class focusing on the connection between mind, body and breath. The intention behind these classes is to help us to create inner space, whereby we can get to know ourselves more deeply. The more we know ourselves, the more empowered we are to be our truest and most authentic selves in the world. Using gentle and intentional movement, inspired by the practice of Hatha yoga, we guide ourselves to a place of calm and stillness, allowing us to invite more presence into our everyday lives. Suitable for beginners and all levels.
There is no charge for this class but we appreciate a donation of around £5-£10 per class or whatever you can afford. All proceeds go towards the upkeep of the York Buddhist Centre.
