Mitra Convenor Ceremony

We are delighted to announce that, after consultation with the local Order, Amalasara has been appointed the first ever Mitra Convenor for York.

A Mitra Convenor is responsible for the spiritual wellbeing of the sangha and particularly the mitra sangha and works closely with the Centre Chair in all sangha related matters.

As this is a very important spiritual appointment, we will be having a special ceremony to mark Amalasara taking on this role.

The evening will begin with meditation and then, after the break, the ceremony and rejoicings will be held in the context of a three-fold puja.

Please bring cards and small presents if you wish to give something to Amalasara to mark this important step for her, for the sangha and for York Buddhist Centre.
