Guided Meditations and Yoga to suit all levels of experience (and none)

Saturday Morning Meditation

Saturday Morning Meditation

Saturday mornings all through the year

10.30 am to 12.15 Every Saturday (except 28th December)
There will be a short break around 11.15 am
Meditating with like-minded people can be much easier than meditating alone, especially when the meditation is gently guided. And whether you are a regular meditator or a complete beginner, you will be very welcome to join us at our friendly Saturday Morning session.

We practise two meditations each week with a tea break in between at approx 11.15 am. Join us for either or both sessions. We suggest a donation of £10 for this class.

Thursday Morning Meditation

Thursday Morning Meditation

Every Thursday Morning - 11.00 am to 11.50 am

Join us on any Thursday Morning at 11.00am for meditation until 11.50.
Each week we will practise one of two guided meditations - either the Mindfulness of Breathing or the Metta Bhavana (Loving-Kindness Meditation). Both of these practices help us to calm our mind and ultimately develop a sense of well-being and contentment. You may sit on a chair or a mat, the main thing is to be comfortable.

The session is open to everyone over 18. You don't need to be a Buddhist! And those new to meditation are very welcome.

Georgia Freshney is an experienced and qualified yoga teacher who has trained in various disciplines in Thailand.
She has trained in holistic yoga and has experience teaching Hatha, Yin and Restorative yoga. as well as mantra meditation and tai chi. Her approach is gentle and generally less asana focused compared to a lot of Western classes as she likes to create a balance of asana, pranayama within classes. day by day. It also helps us to be kinder and more positive towards ourselves and others

In this five-week course you will learn three meditations: Mindfulness of the Body, Mindfulness of Breathing and Loving-Kindness Meditation Everyone over 18 is welcome (you don't have to be a Buddhist or wish to become one).

Day Retreat
Going Deeper in Meditation

Sunday 23 March 10:30am – 4pm

Cultivating Samadhi (complete concentration) and the Dhyana states of Rapture, Joy and Equanimity As our meditation practice develops and our mind becomes more supple and open to some control, we can begin to access states that were previously unobtainable. Samadhi is a state of ‘just being’ where thought processes have ceased and the mind and body are perfectly still. The dhyanas are progressive states of deepening meditation where our minds and bodies progress from feeling of rapture to complete peacefulness and equanimity.

Open to all those over 18 who have a regular meditation practice. Places are limited to 20 so booking is essential.
