Wed PRACTICE Night:
Vijayasri talks about her long Dharma Life

Wednesday 2nd July from 7.00pm to 9.15pm

This evening Shakyapada will be in conversation with her Private Preceptor Vijayasri who has had a long and interesting life in the Order taking on many responsibilities, raising a family and being a very good friend to many people. During the evening there will be an opportunity to ask questions about her practice and her life in the Order. The evening will begin, as usual, with meditation.

Vijayasri was ordained in 1992 and spent much of her Triratna life at the Croydon Buddhist Centre. In her earlier years in the Order she combined Buddhist centre work with raising two sons, with her husband Dhammasena.
In 2004 she had a period living in the Akashavana community in Spain, helping to create an ordination retreat centre for women. More recently she moved to Birmingham and continues to keep in touch with her web of order and mitra friends.
She ordained Shakyapada in 2017 and, in doing so, helped to create the conditions for the arising of York Buddhist Centre.

All over 18 are welcome. No experience of Buddhism is necessary. No need to book - just turn up.

PLEASE MAKE A DONATION for this session. We do not charge for our Wednesday classes but instead, rely on your generosity to help us pay for our substantial running costs. We suggest £12 per class - but please give more or less according to your means.
No one is paid at York Buddhist Centre. Our only income comes from those who use the centre.
