The Bliss of Surrender

The Bliss of Surrender

Sangha Nights - 6th January to 10th February

Devotional practice can be challenging for us in the West.  We tend to view life in all-too-rational ways and many of us still carry Christian or other conditioning that might sometimes put us off ritual and devotion. Surrendering to a sense of something bigger than ourselves is part of the path to Liberation. So, if we are to  progress in our spiritual practice, we shall need to free  ourselves from anything that might constrain us on our journey.

So, during these six weeks, we will be exploring the Sevenfold Puja and, where appropriate, looking at any fear or discomfort we may feel over ritual and devotion. What does it involve?  Why do we make offerings? What is the point of the imagery, repetition and chanting? And can we surrender to a sense of something bigger than ourselves to inspire us and help us through the difficulties of practice and of life?

Come along with us on this journey to emotional freedom.
