Heart of the Sangha Morning - Have Your Say!
Sunday 8th May and every second Sunday each Month
Join us on the 2nd Sunday Morning of each month for coffee and chat, a 40 minute meditation and then an opportunity to hear discuss what we are doing/planning in the centre etc. Ideas for future events and activities are very welcome. Open to all sangha members.

Sevenfold Puja Evening
Tonight there will be a meditation in the first half of the evening and, after the tea break Mark will lead us in a Seven Fold Puja which is a poetic, devotional Buddhist ritual designed to open the heart and help us to engage with something beyond ourselves.
All are welcome and you may take part or simply listen.

Celebrating the Buddha's Awakening
Traditionally the Buddha let go of everything that caused him suffering and finally attained Awakening on the full moon night of May/June. This year that is 16th May. so this evening we will be celebrating this momentous event in the world's history (when according to legend, the earth shook in response)
The evening will include a talk by Shakyapada about the Buddha's Enlightenment and how he finally realised Enlightenment after years of struggle. All welcome

One Woman’s Right Livelihood: From the Mountains of Nepal to the Community and Kitchen at Taraloka
Wednesday 25th May
During this special evening Shakyapada will be talking to her friend Akashadaya about her experience of living and working in Nepal for two years on Overseas Voluntary Service and her subsequent five years at Taraloka Retreat Centre where she lived and worked in community with other Buddhists.
Everyone is welcome. There is no charge for the evening but a small donation would be appreciated to help meet our running costs.

Over eleven weeks we'll explore the Buddha's teaching on life, ethics, suffering, happiness, friendship, myth, ritual, wisdom, compassion, death and rebirth. Open to all. We will also have a guided meditation each week. A Foundation Course in Buddhism for newcomers and a refresher for regulars.
This is a weekly drop-in so come when you can. Do as many classes as you are able.
