From 20th November for five weeks we will be exploring stories from early Buddhist texts in the Pali Canon - a collection of stories detailing the Buddha's words 2,500 years ago.
Meet colourful characters and situations and hear what are the best record we have of the Buddha's actual teaching to his followers.
As in all our Thursday classes there will be time to relate what we are exploring to our own lives in the 21st Century.
All over 18 are welcome. No need to book - just turn up when you can. There is no charge, but a donation each week of £12 or more would be appreciated (see below)
DONATIONS: York Buddhist Centre has no outside income or support and no one is paid. These classes are given freely in a spirit of friendship. However we do have rent to pay and utilities and other running costs and we could not meet these without the generous support of those who use our centre. So, if you can, we ask you to make a donation when you attend. We suggest £12 each week but please give more or less according to your means.
